Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Armed Patrol Unit in New Haven, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a premier financial institution location as an armed officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support a caring, agile team that values reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while responding professionally to the needs of staff and visitors.

Pay Rate: $23.76 / Hour
Job Schedule:
DayTimeMon08:45 AM - 05:15 PMFri08:45 AM - 05:15 PMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, first responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and report suspicious behavior, unattended items, or policy violations in accordance with site guidelines.
- Support cash handling and other sensitive operational areas through visible presence, routine inspections, and timely reporting of security-related concerns, hazards, and/or maintenance issues.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
