*What we are looking for:*
Medi-Share Inc is seeking a permanent part-time Registered Adult Cardiac Sonographer to work in our Exeter and Clinton locations.
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Able to work independently, and collaboratively with interprofessional teams.
* Produce high-quality cardiac diagnostic images that meet or exceed the standards set out by Accreditation Canada.
* Produce clear preliminary reports for interpreting physicians, meeting or exceeding the standards set out by Accreditation Canada.
* Holds a strong patient focus. Verbally instructing the patient of the examination and guides the patient verbally throughout to ensure the patient is comfortable for the duration of the exam.
* Keep a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation. Including proper care of machine, probes, and maintenance logs.
* Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development in order to ensure optimal patient care
* Perform IV insertions for contrast studies (experience an asset, but training will be provided.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor's degree or graduate of an accredited educational program in Cardiac Sonography
* Current registration with ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) and/or Sonography Canada
* Current active member with CMRITO(College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario)
* Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills as they relate to patient care
* Current CPR certification
* Demonstrated commitment to and involvement with own profession (e.g. membership with professional association, etc.) preferred
* Experience with IV insertion and contrast echo an asset, but training will be provided.
* Strong communication skills, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a clinic environment
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
