Base pay range $180.00/hr - $195.00/hr The Sage Group’s client, an AI leader, is searching for a contract Sr. Designer. Description: We are seeking a Sr. Designer to lead creative ideation and execution for performance marketing campaigns across paid channels. This role involves developing net new concepts, extending existing campaigns, and balancing brand quality with performance data to drive conversions. You will stay informed on design trends and tailor visuals to platform nuances (YouTube, LinkedIn, Meta) while maintaining brand consistency and delivering thumb-stopping creative.
Creative concepting and strategy: Lead creative ideation and concepting for new performance marketing campaigns across all paid channels. Develop net new creative concepts that effectively communicate our value proposition to target audiences—from Pro users to enterprises.
Extend and iterate on existing campaign creative concepts, maintaining brand consistency while driving performance optimization.
Balance brand quality with performance data insights to create thumb-stopping creative that converts. Stay at the forefront of design trends across performance channels, understanding platform-specific nuances without chasing trends. Visual design and execution.
Create compelling static graphics for paid social, display advertising, and digital marketing campaigns.
Design high-converting visual assets optimized for various platforms with deep understanding of what performs on each.
Produce multi-format asset variations for A/B testing and platform optimization.
Work with marketing teams to bridge the balance between brand quality and performance requirements.
Creative direction and collaboration: Art direct and storyboard for motion design, video, and animation projects (execution skills a plus but not required).
Partner with growth marketers to translate data insights into creative strategy.
Collaborate across teams to ensure brand consistency while optimizing for conversion metrics.
Contribute to the development of creative frameworks and best practices for growth marketing.
Own the creative concepting process from brief to final delivery with strategic input.
Lead creative discussions and present concepts with confidence.
Work independently to meet campaign deadlines while proactively communicating blockers. Collaborate effectively with growth marketers, brand designers, and performance marketing teams.
Balance creative vision with performance data to make informed design decisions.
Requirements:
Exceptional creative concepting abilities with a strong portfolio demonstrating innovative campaign ideas that drove performance marketing results. Proven track record of creating net new creative concepts and extending existing campaigns.
Deep understanding of platform-specific performance nuances across major paid channels.
Experience balancing brand quality with performance optimization requirements.
Strong portfolio demonstrating ability to create high-converting visual assets across multiple digital platforms.
Proficiency in industry-standard design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, etc.). Exceptional collaboration skills and ability to lead creative discussions with performance marketing teams.
Deep understanding of design trends across performance channels and how they vary by platform.
Ability to art direct and storyboard for motion design and video (execution skills a plus). Data-driven creative approach with ability to iterate based on performance metrics.
Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple campaigns simultaneously.
Preferred Experience:
5-7+ years of performance marketing and growth-focused creative leadership.
Advanced knowledge of A/B testing principles and creative optimization strategies. Extensive experience creating campaigns for multiple digital platforms with platform-specific optimization.
Deep understanding of conversion rate optimization and user acquisition creative strategies. Experience in B2B technology marketing or SaaS growth marketing.
Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and terminology.
