The Consumer Goods Forum is hiring a highly organized and experienced
Head of Programs, North America
to develop and lead our programs in the U.S. and Canada.
The position responsibilities will be:
Identify member needs:
Connect with retail and manufacturing members to understand their programming needs. Recruit new members retail and manufacturing who are interested in this area.
Develop and execute programming:
The role will be responsible for driving programming connected to and including our major meetings – our Global Summit and a flagship Americas event. Additional events and content will include seminars, roundtables, and white papers. Topics will include technology, health, employment, affordability, consumer insight and others. The role will also coordinate collaboration with Service Provider members and external stakeholders to deliver programming content.
Drive Service Provider Recruitment and Engagement:
Identify, recruit, and engage new and existing service provider members who will engage and support CGF’s programs. This includes both global consulting and technology firms as well as boutique firms.
Communication and Collaboration:
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the organization. Work closely with the other North America team members and provide intra-team support where necessary. Collaborate with the global team and other regional teams. Provide recommendations and consultation to improve cross-teamwork. Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment, information sharing, and coordination of efforts.
Member engagement:
We measure our success by membership engagement. Assess member and prospective member interest and evolve programming to meet membership interest and translate into impact.
The
Head of Programs, North America
will work in English; knowledge of Spanish is desirable.
This is a full-time position. The candidate is expected to travel approximately 30%.
The
Head of Programs, North America
reports to the Regional Director for North America.
This is a Remote-First role based in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area. To foster alignment and culture, we gather in person for intentional collaboration sessions an average of 2–3 times per month.

Requirements
Master’s degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Public Policy, STEM)
Proven experience (minimum 7 years) in a similar role, preferably in a retailer, consultancy firm, technology firm, or association.
Familiarity with the retail and consumer goods industries is highly desirable.
Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor initiatives effectively. Experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving projects to completion within deadlines.
Coordination and Organizational Skills: Exceptional coordination and organizational skills to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Ability to prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and adapt to changing priorities.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives, CEOs, and industry leaders. Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and collaborate with diverse teams.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that tight deadlines are met
Self-motivated and autonomous, and at ease with changing priorities

Team player with strong intercultural skills
Service-oriented and positive mindset
Excellent command of Google Suite, Microsoft 365, and Notion
Strong skills – or aptitude to quickly learn Salesforce and Canva
