Position Overview The Social Media Manager will be responsible for managing and growing The Balm In Gilead Inc.’s digital presence across multiple platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. This role requires a highly creative and strategic individual who can produce engaging content, write compelling copy, and execute social media campaigns that align with brand messaging. Key Responsibilities ●
Manage and maintain The Balm In Gilead, Inc.’s social media platforms: YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn ●
Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across all platforms ●
Write clear, compelling, and on-brand copy for posts, captions, and video content ●
Design high-quality visuals using professional design software (Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva,etc.) , including graphics, reels, carousels, and promotional materials ●
Record, edit, and produce short-form and long-form video content for social media ●
Develop strategy and manage a content calendar aligned with organizational goals ●
Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and foster online community growth ●
Stay up to date with social media trends and platform updates to optimize performance Qualifications ●
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field ●
Minimum of 3 years of experience in social media management or digital marketing ●
Advanced proficiency in creating polished, branded graphics, presentations, and social media content using professional design tools (i.e. Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, etc.) ●
Proven experience recording and editing video content for social media platforms ●
Strong copywriting and storytelling skills ●
Ability to manage multiple platforms and projects simultaneously Position Details ●
Full-time contractor role ●
Residence in Richmond, VA or within a 50 mile radius of the Richmond Metropolitan area ● Reports to Marketing & Communications Director
