$46,000 – $50,000 plus eligibility for a performance bonus

The remote High School Science Teacher is a highly qualified, state-certified educator responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment. Teachers provide instruction, support, and guidance, manage the learning process, and focus on students’ individual needs. They use Stride K12’s learning management system to monitor student progress and work closely with students, parents, and learning coaches to advance each student’s learning toward established goals. Teachers typically work from home but must travel occasionally throughout the year to various school functions, such as state testing or other required activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.
Commit to personalizing learning for all students.
Believe in all students’ ability to succeed and meet high expectations.
Differentiates instruction based on student level of mastery.
Augment course content according to prescribed policies and procedures using appropriate tools under guidance from principal and coach.
Maintain grade book, ensure student academic integrity, make placement and promotion decisions, and alert administrators to concerns about performance.
Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests.
Establish and maintain positive rapport with families and regularly communicate with students, learning coaches, and parents in a timely manner.
Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic troubleshooting issues in a virtual classroom environment aligned with academy policies.
Travel as required (on average once per month and/or about 20% of the time) for professional development, student testing, and other school duties.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
Active state teaching license.
Ability to clear the required background check.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working with the proposed age group.
Experience supporting adults and children in using technology.
Experience teaching in an online and/or brick-and-mortar environment.
Experience with online learning platforms.
Ability to collaborate with other teachers to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data for instructional decisions.
Receptive to receiving coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.
Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to rapidly learn new technologies and teaching platforms.
Ability to maintain teacher certification, professional development hours, and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salaries between $26,104.00 and $50,000.00, with eligible employees potentially receiving a bonus. Compensation varies by location, experience, education, and market conditions.
