Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree 7-10 years of experience Subject-matter expertise with CAD software, thermodynamics, sheet metal design, material selection, manufacturing methods, GD&T, flow analysis and/or Design for Excellence principles Proficient in opto-mechanical, precision mechanical and mechanism design and familiar with high precision optical design implementations. Experienced with specification derivations, tolerancing design, alignment and compensation, thermal and dynamic stability, metrology. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of the Applied Materials product life cycle, including prototyping, packaging, material selection and manufacturing methods 3D CAD experience – Inventor, UG NX, Pro-engineer or Solidworks Experience using FEA packages (Ansys, CFD-Ace, ComSol etc). Demonstrates broad and comprehensive understanding of different systems, theories and practices Experience in the Semiconductor Industry Statistical Data Analysis – JMP, MS-Excel Experience with motion desired Experience with Teamcenter Additional Information Time Type: Full time Employee Type: Assignee / Regular Travel: Yes, 10% of the Time Relocation Eligible: No The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable. For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
