Role: Product Designer (UX Research + Product Design) | YC-Backed Security Startup Location: NYC (Preferred) / San Francisco (Hybrid) Travel: 10–20% (customer-facing exposure) Salary Range: $150,000 - $225,000 (Yearly) Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder We’re hiring a Product Designer to join a fast-growing, YC-backed security startup building cutting-edge solutions for law enforcement and investigative workflows. This is a high-impact role where you’ll own end-to-end UX and product design, working directly with users (detectives, investigators, analysts) to transform complex data into intuitive, high-utility workflows. What You’ll Do Own end-to-end product design lifecycle (research → flows → prototyping → delivery) Conduct deep UX research with real-world users (law enforcement / investigative teams) Translate complex workflows into intuitive product experiences Collaborate closely with founders, engineers, and AI teams Build and refine product requirements (PRDs) and UX systems Rapidly prototype and test ideas in a fast-paced startup environment What We’re Looking For 3+ years in Product Design / UX / UX Research Experience designing complex, data-heavy or workflow-driven products Strong ability to convert user insights → actionable product improvements Prior experience in high-growth startups or elite tech environments Comfortable working directly with customers and stakeholders Ability to write clear product specs / PRDs Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder Ideal Profile Strong product intuition + execution mindset Combines UX research + product design expertise Thrives in high ownership, fast-moving environments Builder mindset — someone who ships, iterates, and improves continuously Key Skills UX Research & User Interviews Product Design & Interaction Design Information Architecture & Workflow Design Prototyping (Figma, etc.) Design Systems Product Thinking & Problem Solving PRD Writing & Cross-functional Collaboration Data-heavy / Complex Systems Design Why Join?
