General job duties/types of procedures required:

Assists interventional radiologist in all types of interventional radiology procedures performed with angiography, fluoroscopy, CT OR and ultrasound.

Practices radiation and laser safety for patient, staff and self.

Uses sterile technique.

Functions in the first scrub role by preparing, organizing, and anticpating needed instruments, supplies and equipment for safe patient care for interventional radiology procedures.

Equipment utilized in the unit/dept.:

Fluoroscopy, CT, Ultrasound, PACS, and EMR.

Required skills and minimum years of experience:

Minimum of 1 year of hospital IR Tech experience required.

Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required:

ARRT-(R).

State of NE Rad Tech License.

BLS (AHA/ARC).

Shift or schedule requirements:

4 x 10-hours day during the week.

Weekday and weekend Call required.

Won't work alone; a nurse and another tech will also be on Call.
