The Gaming Technician is an integral part of gaming operations in that he or she ensures the proper functioning of all games on the gaming floor. Understanding that if a game is down, it directly impacts the revenues generated by our company. Working closely with not only gaming but security, surveillance, marketing, and even the main cage, the gaming technician is a position of ongoing learning. Knowledge of the electronic components is only a part of this key role. The person in this position will work directly with customers and other departments alike. The Gaming Technician is responsible for: Repair and maintenance of gaming related equipment on the gaming floor and shop. Participation in installation, movement, and removal of gaming related equipment. Maintaining proper gaming logs to comply with state or internal regulations. Assisting operations team in minor tilt resolution such as paper fills and answering service lights. Ensuring the safety and security of all guests and employees. All other duties as assigned. Required skills and abilities include: Attending required training sessions offered by the Company. Obtaining and retaining required license(s). Performing the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations. Taking the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco. Having knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member's department. Having knowledge of the Property's programs to address problem gaming. Reporting any acts of wrongdoing of which the Team Member may have knowledge. Education and experience: A high school diploma or GED equivalent. Two-year Electronic Degree or equivalent experience in electrical maintenance preferred but not required. Ability to obtain a valid Racing License. Virginia Racing Commission License Valid Driver's License with a minimum of three (3) years driving experience. Physical requirements and working conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit or stand; walk; use hands to finger, reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee may also be required to lift, push, and pull over 50lbs on a regular basis. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The employee is subjected to circulate throughout the assigned areas, including the smoking area, actively observing players and functioning of machines.
