Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's degree
2 years of database administration experience with Oracle Server
Expertise in Oracle technologies, OCI, Exadata experience, familiarity with monitoring tools like OEM
Strong proficiency with SQL, Oracle partitioning, and knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL (2+ years)
Experience with Linux and shell scripting
Experience monitoring SQL performance and tuning (plan, baselines, profiles)
Experience developing PL/SQL procedures/packages and automation
Experience managing the deployment of DDL/DMLs to the database
Experience with CICD concepts
Ability to assist application developers with SQL review
Preferred qualifications
4+ years of experience with database administration within Oracle
Deep knowledge/experience in the following: SQL, PL/SQL and Oracle DBA tasks
Able to stay current with emerging trends and database technologies
Able to quickly learn and achieve proficiency in new software applications and maintain a thorough knowledge of internal company software applications applicable to the position/business unit
Oracle Database Certification
Oracle Advanced Queues knowledge
Data modeling skills and use of Entity-Relation (ER)

What you’ll do on a typical day
Work extensively with Oracle databases
Focus on SQL queries, plan review, and database administration
Be responsible for daily monitoring of SQL performance, uptime and drive resolution to technical issues
Support database performance in the context of applications by working with the infrastructure and application teams
Act as a liaison between the project management, technical teams and IT leadership; assure best practices are defined and followed; drive consistency across applications and projects wherever possible
Support deployment of new databases, new schemas and new database objects and ongoing maintenance of the same
Contribute to defining application database standards by creating application data models
