Join our dynamic team as a Shipping Clerk in Portland, Oregon. This role is pivotal to our Logistics operations, ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of all outgoing shipments. As a Shipping Clerk, you will manage the shipping documentation, coordinate with carriers, track shipments, and ensure all orders are processed correctly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess strong communication skills, and have a keen eye for detail. While this role is primarily administrative, some physical tasks may be involved, including occasional Lifting of packages up to 30 pounds and moving them to staging areas. You will be responsible for maintaining shipping logs, verifying shipping addresses, and resolving any shipping-related issues. A strong understanding of shipping software and procedures is highly desirable. Safety is a core value; you must follow all Safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE when in warehouse areas. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documents (e.g., bills of lading, packing slips).
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant parties.
- Verify accuracy of outgoing orders against shipping manifests.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Maintain organized shipping records and files.
- Operate shipping software and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and wear required PPE when necessary.
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and customer inquiries.
