Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As a Leasing Consultant, you will work closely with your property manager, fellow leasing agents, maintenance technicians, and grounds staff to support the overall success of your community. Your key responsibilities include:

Marketing & Leasing
  • Conduct apartment tours for prospective residents
     
  • Provide accurate information to prospects via phone, email, and in person
     
  • Accurately quote rental rates and fees
     
  • Conduct timely and consistent follow-up with all prospects
     
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of the local market, surrounding community, and competing properties
     
  • Ensure all required application paperwork is completed and submitted
     
Resident Relations
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents
     
  • Collect payments including deposits and rent
     
  • Prepare, review, and execute leases with accuracy
     
  • Support an effective and proactive lease renewal program
     
Administrative & Team Support
  • Inspect apartments to ensure move-in readiness
     
  • Follow all Fortis Property Management policies and procedures
     
  • Prepare and distribute move-in packages
     
  • Maintain full compliance with Fair Housing and ADA regulations
     
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
     
Qualifications

Experience:

  • Prior leasing or sales experience preferred
     

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
     
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
     
  • Computer literacy and comfort with property management software
     
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
     
  • Strong decision-making ability
     
  • Proven sales aptitude
