Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAs a Leasing Consultant, you will work closely with your property manager, fellow leasing agents, maintenance technicians, and grounds staff to support the overall success of your community. Your key responsibilities include:
Marketing & Leasing- Conduct apartment tours for prospective residents
- Provide accurate information to prospects via phone, email, and in person
- Accurately quote rental rates and fees
- Conduct timely and consistent follow-up with all prospects
- Maintain a strong knowledge of the local market, surrounding community, and competing properties
- Ensure all required application paperwork is completed and submitted
- Deliver exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents
- Collect payments including deposits and rent
- Prepare, review, and execute leases with accuracy
- Support an effective and proactive lease renewal program
- Inspect apartments to ensure move-in readiness
- Follow all Fortis Property Management policies and procedures
- Prepare and distribute move-in packages
- Maintain full compliance with Fair Housing and ADA regulations
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Experience:
- Prior leasing or sales experience preferred
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Computer literacy and comfort with property management software
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Strong decision-making ability
- Proven sales aptitude
