Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is looking for a Sr. Manager, Software Engineering, with a passion for engineering and the desire to lead an innovative, dedicated team responsible for industry-leading Assured Positioning, Navigation and Timing (APNT) products within the Multi-domain Assured Navigation & Timing Applications (MANTA) portfolio. The team is responsible for architecting, designing, developing and testing real‑time embedded navigation and timing solutions for military applications. What You Will Do
Lead and mentor staff across all phases of the software engineering life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, integration, verification and formal configuration management. Provide direction for software capability development, integration of software onto target hardware, issue troubleshooting and resolution, and support field demonstration and integration efforts. Manage resource allocation, overall administrative activities, and employee engagement, coaching, mentoring and performance management. Oversee onboarding, training and career development activities for the team. Promote agile software development practices within the team. Qualifications – Must Have
Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 10years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 7years of experience. Candidate must hold or be able to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Ability to travel domestically as needed. Proven experience in the software development life cycle and Agile methodologies. Strong verbal and written technical communication skills. Experience leading a diverse engineering team. Qualifications – Preferred
Advanced degree in a technical, management or leadership discipline. High motivation to solve problems and continuously improve existing products. Talent/career development leadership experience.
