Our client, a leading technology organization specializing in innovative lab solutions, is seeking a Systems Administrator -Lab Operations to join their dedicated team. As a Systems Administrator - Lab Operations, you will be an integral part of the Lab Operations Department supporting the engineering and technical teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem‑solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title Systems Administrator - Lab Operations
Location Sunnyvale, California
Pay Rate $50-55/hr
What's the Job?
Support lab operations by installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux and MacOS systems, servers, and networking equipment.
Perform hands‑on work with server hardware, scripting, automation, and system monitoring to ensure reliable lab performance.
Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline lab workflows and system maintenance tasks.
Maintain and troubleshoot lab network infrastructure, including TCP/IP and Wifi configurations.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure system security, uptime, and scalability of the lab environment.
What's Needed?
Proficiency in Linux system administration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Experience with Bash scripting or similar command‑line tools.
Knowledge of Python or GoLang programming languages.
Experience setting up x64 server hardware, including BIOS configuration and rack deployment.
Understanding of network configurations, including TCP/IP and Wifi setup.
