Performing in-depth patient evaluations and determining necessary diagnostic exams while formulating unique care plans Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health issues collaboratively with physicians or independently, based on your certifications Providing education to patients and families regarding wellness, disease prevention, and management strategies Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies in accordance with your professional scope Engaging in continuous patient follow-up and managing chronic health conditions Working within interdisciplinary teams to ensure a seamless, patient-centered care experience Accurately documenting care activities in electronic medical records (EMR) Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of a nurse practitioner program accredited by a recognized body Licensure and Certifications Required
Active Nurse Practitioner license in Georgia National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent credential for your specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the willingness to obtain within 90 days) Your Unique Skills
