Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering diagnostic tests, and creating personalized care strategies Independently diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions while collaborating with other healthcare professionals when necessary Instructing patients and families on preventive care, wellness initiatives, and disease management strategies Prescribing medications and therapeutic interventions in line with your practice scope Engaging in patient follow-up and managing chronic care initiatives Collaborating within interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-centric care Meticulously documenting patient interactions in electronic medical records (EMR) Education Essentials
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Necessary Certifications
Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in California National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a related specialty Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, or ability to acquire them within 90 days Skills That Make You Stand Out
