Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Director - Information Technology
The ERP Director oversees the County's Enterprise Resource Planning product suite (SAP) and the use of ERP technology for Sedgwick County. This role is responsible for applications that manage core financial transactions and reporting, inventory management, and enterprise analytical reporting. This position manages relationships with outside vendors, oversees the ERP team, and works with business partners throughout the organization to enhance the functionality of ERP and reporting applications. Responsibilities include overseeing the ERP department, setting departmental goals, timelines, and priorities of work, supervising and evaluating staff, establishing business practices that embrace County values and support the County's strategic plan, ensuring licensing compliance under SAP authority, managing and planning all budget related processes for the ERP department, providing education about and promoting all ERP team services across the County, ensuring organizational SAP business processes are properly maintained and that new functionality is effectively implemented, managing large projects with milestones, tasks, timelines, and budgets, managing an effective quality control process prior to releasing any changes to production systems, regularly reviewing status of projects with staff and stakeholders to properly steer and prioritize projects, overseeing and administering enterprise budget development tools/systems and enterprise analytics systems, supplying County leaders, division directors, and department heads the information needed to make data-driven decisions, supporting budget office staff, systems, and processes throughout the year for the development and publishing of the annual county budget, promoting and supplying analytics to the organization, and working with departmental staff to fully understand, build, and deliver automated reporting and dashboards. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university plus 12 years' experience in information technology. Eight (8) years of experience supporting ERP systems, including four (4) years of ERP supervisory experience. Experience leading at least one large-scale ERP implementation. Preferred qualifications include eight (8) years of experience supporting SAP ERP systems, including six (6) years of ERP supervisory responsibilities. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field, SAP Certified Application Associate.
