Requirements & Qualifications
35+ years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience, preferably in capital equipment, industrial, or technical sales Proven track record of achieving or exceeding annual sales targets Experience managing longer sales cycles and high-value transactions Strong prospecting and territory development skills Comfortable engaging decision-makers at multiple levels (operations, procurement, ownership) CRM proficiency (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) Demonstrated career stability and progression Self-motivated with a strong "hunter" mentality Preferred Background & Skills
Experience selling capital equipment (e.g., construction, material handling, manufacturing, environmental, or specialty equipment) Ability to understand technical product specifications and translate value to customers Experience with dealership models, distribution channels, or manufacturer rep structures Strong financial acumen (ROI discussions, cost justification, lease/finance options) Highly organized with disciplined pipeline and territory management Skilled in both in-person and virtual selling environments Established network within target industries is a plus Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to drive capital equipment sales growth Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities Identify customer needs and provide consultative, solution-based recommendations Manage the full sales cycle, including site visits, equipment demos, proposals, and contract negotiations Conduct on-site presentations, product demonstrations, and operational assessments Generate new business through cold outreach, referrals, and industry networking Attend trade shows, regional events, and customer visits to expand market presence Partner with internal teams (service, operations, marketing) to support deal execution and customer satisfaction Maintain accurate CRM data, forecasts, and reporting Why This Role?
