Nursing Staff Development Director

Join our team at Cape Regency Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, a 120-bed skilled nursing facility in Barnstable, Massachusetts, where we are dedicated to providing exceptional care to our residents. As a Nursing Staff Development Director, you will have the opportunity to direct educational programs for our nursing department and ensure that our staff have the knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality care.

Full-time role. Can be an LPN or RN. $40 to $45 an hour if an LPN, $45 to $50 if an RN. Cape Regency is a 120-bed skilled nursing facility.

Develop and implement educational programs based on identified needs to ensure the knowledge and skills of personnel

Conduct job-specific orientation for Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants

Develop and distribute annual and monthly education calendars

Maintain a library of resource information and self-study programs for facility staff

Maintain staff development records accurately and timely

Conduct C.N.A. training programs as required by the facility

Contribute to effective communication and pleasant working conditions

Contribute to and promote positive resident and family relations

Must possess, as a minimum, a nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing, college, or university

Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN or RN in Massachusetts

Must be CPR certified

Must have as a minimum, one (1) year Nursing Supervisor experience in a long-term care facility

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions

Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public
