Carrying out thorough patient evaluations, prescribing diagnostic interventions, and devising tailored care strategies Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health challenges in collaboration with physicians or autonomously, consistent with your credentials Providing education and support for patients and families focused on wellness and disease prevention Prescribing necessary medications and therapies in alignment with your practice scope Engaging in patient follow-up and ongoing chronic care management Working collectively within interdisciplinary teams for seamless care delivery Documenting patient interactions thoroughly and accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) Educational Expectations
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner training program Mandatory Credentials
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or similar credentials Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the commitment to acquire within 90 days) Distinguishing Qualities
