Department: Production Reports To: Mill manager GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB The CNC Operator is responsible for operating stone Gantry Saw to ensure accurate and efficient production in line with fabrication drawings and schedules. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Read and understand fabrication drawings to execute production tasks effectively. Maintain an efficient, clean, and organized work area. Set up CNC saw and run programs according to the predetermined blueprints. Follow all procedures established by management, including daily machine maintenance tool calibration. Address quality issues immediately and communicate directly with the Operations Manager or VP Uphold Glacier Stones Values in daily operations. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Minimum of 2 year's experience operating CNC machinery. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Basic understanding of geometry. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Forklift Certification (renewed every three years, training provided by Glacier Stone Supply's certified trainer). PHYSICAL DEMANDS Regular physical activities include reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and handling materials. Maximum weight to be lifted is less than 100 pounds. No special vision requirements. WORK ENVIRONMENT Indoor/outdoor in a non-temperature-controlled environment. xmcpwfu
The typical noise level ranges from loud to very loud.
