Position Summary CVS Pharmacy, Inc., a CVS Health company, is hiring for a Data Engineer in Woonsocket, RI. The role involves formulating and applying mathematical and computational modeling methods toward data extraction and manipulation. Duties include designing and developing data solutions using industry leading tools, technologies and best practices to profile data and develop efficient ingestion by sourcing data from PBM, Specialty, Retail, and/or HealthCare business; developing advanced algorithms and statistical predictive models to evaluate scenarios and provide usable information on health metrics and potential future outcomes; extracting and manipulating data from multiple large data sources and delivering predictive models that inform solutions for in‑house teams (e.g., pharmacy pricing, medical costs, risk scores, onboarding) and customer engagement across critical journeys; utilizing strong programming skills to explore, analyze, and interpret large volumes of data in various forms and solve complex business problems; supporting deployment of insights across multiple channels and working on mathematical analysis methods, machine learning, and statistical analyses. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive, post‑baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Five (5) years of experience in each of the following: DevOps and Python; Agile methodologies and SAFe Software Development Principles; Oracle; Azure and Hive; MySQL and SQL; Domain support for healthcare or retail organization; developing backend services, performing code reviews, and collaborating with peers on software development solutions; contributing to large‑scale applications development, data science, or data analytics projects; Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) processes; cloud components including cluster management; and data warehousing.
Pay Range $141,565.00/year to $141,565.00/year. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short‑term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
