Senior Embedded Software Engineer Location: US-TX-RICHARDSON-461 ~ 3200 E Renner Rd ~ RENNER BLDG 461 Employment Type: Onsite Security Clearance: Active U.S. Secret clearance required on day 1. U.S. citizenship required. What You Will Do Provide direct support to stakeholders to answer questions and solve technical issues. Design and implement software that satisfies customer and certification needs. Produce high‑quality software builds in an integrated test environment. Derive software requirements, create UML design diagrams, and code from those diagrams. Communicate and collaborate with Senior and Principal engineers, mentoring junior engineers and interns. Assist in software requirements verification and test phases. What You Will Learn Strategic Nuclear Deterrence domain knowledge. Leadership roles such as Scrum Master, Product Owner, Cost Account Manager, and Software Lead. Subject‑matter expertise in communication technologies within defense and aerospace. Qualifications You Must Have Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) or an advanced degree with related experience. At least 5 years of relevant embedded software experience; or advanced degree plus at least 3 years of experience. Active, transferable U.S. Secret security clearance required prior to start date. Experience in Agile development methods, including Scrum, automated testing, and continuous integration. Experience with Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Qualifications We Prefer Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or nuclear command‑and‑control systems governed by DO‑178C, MIL‑STD‑498, or equivalent. Exposure to Earned Value Management (EVM) principles. Salary US$86,800 – US$165,200 annually (range based on experience). Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
