Job Summary We are looking for a Data Analyst II to join our Business Intelligence team within Advertising Technologies. In this role, you will deliver advanced data analysis and reporting that drives strategic decision‑making across product, revenue, and operations teams. You will work with complex datasets, build trusted reporting pipelines, and recommend new KPIs to improve business visibility. This is an excellent opportunity for a data professional who thrives on translating raw data into actionable insights in a fast‑paced, AI‑augmented environment.
Location This is a remote‑friendly position open to candidates based in Canada.
What You'll Be Doing
Design, build, and maintain high‑quality dashboards, reports, and datasets that support business decision‑making across product, revenue, and operations teams.
Write advanced SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and reliability of reporting outputs.
Identify and recommend new KPIs and metrics that improve business visibility and stakeholder understanding of performance trends.
Manage project plans for new reporting needs, including requirements gathering, milestone tracking, and timely delivery.
Partner with cross‑functional teams (Product, Revenue, Operations) to clarify data requirements, resolve data quality issues, and support evidence‑based planning.
Within your first six months, own the delivery of regular BI reporting cycles, contribute to at least one new KPI framework, and actively support the team's adoption of AI‑assisted workflows using Claude for reporting and coding tasks and Gemini for planning and meeting documentation.
Ensure reporting SLA adherence: dashboards and ad hoc reports delivered within agreed timelines.
Improve data quality: reduce data errors or discrepancies flagged by stakeholders.
Drive KPI adoption: increase the number of new KPIs recommended and accepted by business partners.
Enhance stakeholder satisfaction: gather positive feedback from cross‑functional partners on insight quality and responsiveness.
Deliver projects on time and within scope: ensure reporting project plans are completed on schedule.
Leverage AI/LLM tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) to accelerate analysis, automate repetitive tasks, and draft documentation.
What You'll Bring to the Table
2+ years of experience in a data analytics role, with a track record of delivering actionable insights from complex datasets.
Advanced SQL proficiency, including the ability to write complex queries, troubleshoot data issues, and work with data warehouses (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery).
Experience building and maintaining dashboards and reports using BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Sigma, or similar).
Strong project management skills: ability to clarify requirements, set milestones, manage risks, and deliver reporting initiatives independently.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Ability to write effective prompts, critically evaluate AI‑generated output, and integrate AI tools into day‑to‑day workflows.
Compensation The compensation range listed for this role reflects the expected base salary for candidates located in Ontario, Canada. It is based on market data and the approved budget for this position. Salaries outside Ontario will be aligned to the candidate's location.
Base salary only. Candidates may also be eligible for additional compensation such as annual bonuses, commissions, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Factors Influencing Final Compensation:
The final compensation offer will be determined by a variety of factors, which may include, but are not limited to: the candidate's specific experience, technical skills, knowledge, abilities, and relevant education, licensure, and certifications.
Other business factors, such as organizational needs and budget alignment, may also be considered in the final offer.
Ontario Salary Band: $76,000 — $90,000 CAD
