What youll do in this Senior Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer role Design and deliver scalable data and analytics solutions on Microsoft Fabric.
Build and optimise ingestion pipelines, semantic models, and reporting layers.
Translate business needs into trusted, reusable data products.
Improve governance, automation, and delivery across the analytics estate.
Investigate and resolve complex data and platform issues.
Explore opportunities to apply AI and automation, including Microsoft AI Foundry.
Essential Skill-set Significant enterprise data engineering and analytics experience.
Strong data architecture capability.
Hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience across most of the following: Lakehouse, Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, Python notebooks, and KQL DB.
A strong understanding of Microsoft Fabric concepts, architecture, and best practices, with hands-on experience applying them in real-world solutions.
Stored procedures for automated transformation logic in Fabric.
Advanced data modelling and semantic layer design skills.
Strong SQL skills for data integration, transformation, and analytics.
Experience building metadata-driven ingestion pipelines and automating file-based processing.
Strong source-to-target mapping and pipeline maintenance experience.
Experience designing, optimising, and maintaining semantic models for scalable reporting and self-service analytics.
Exposure to AI-enabled analytics and Microsoft AI Foundry is highly desirable. xyswxtq
