Job Title: Project Manager (Dublin) Reports To: Contracts Manager Job Summary The Project Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management of one large project or multiple sites, ensuring the effective implementation of company processes and procedures. This role plays a critical part in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards, while strictly adhering to established Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards. For large, multi-sectional, or highly complex projects, the Project Manager may be on-site as part of a broader team. However, in most cases, they take full responsibility for overseeing and successfully delivering multiple sites. Key Activities Stakeholder Management: Liaise with various staff and senior stakeholders, including Clients, Sub-contractors, Senior Engineer, Foreman, and Quantity Surveyor. Project Delivery: Take responsibility for the successful delivery of the project through leadership, management, and technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle. Design & RFI Management: Manage Design Team relationships and the design development processes, including RFI processes and design development workshop activities where required. Site Leadership: Manage sub-contractors, engineering, and operational staff on site. Planning & Reporting: Plan weekly work programmes and produce weekly reports on project progress. Milestone Oversight: Oversee the site team to ensure key milestones are met. Commercial Alignment: Manage the project design process while working alongside the commercial team. Work closely with the Contracts Manager and report progress to ensure the site programme aligns with budget and commercial objectives. Safety Culture: Continuously reinforce the Health & Safety culture, striving for an accident-free site. Meetings: Attend and chair weekly management meetings. Lifecycle Management: Manage the complete day-to-day lifecycle of the project, from initial stages through to handover. Competencies Focused on achieving measurable outcomes and delivering results. A proven track record of completing projects on time and within budget. Strong commercial acumen and effective negotiation skills. Ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets. Excellent spoken and written communication skills. Drive to take responsibility for exceeding targets. Demonstrates a solid understanding of financial principles and cost management. Possesses outstanding leadership abilities and the capacity to inspire and motivate others. Exhibits exceptional communication skills, fostering clear and effective interactions. Highly organised, with the ability to prioritize tasks and maintain efficiency. Technically proficient and skilled in operating and troubleshooting equipment. Excels in managing and developing teams, fostering a positive work environment. Creative and resourceful in solving complex problems. Education & Experience Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Trade qualification or equivalent practical experience. Relevant studies or certifications related to contractual management or other role-specific areas. Demonstrated commitment to Continuous Professional Development (CPD). Proven experience in a similar role within the construction or civil engineering industry. Comprehensive understanding of the demands and expectations of the role in a dynamic environment.
