Optima Energy, Inc. specializes in energy efficiency solutions, helping businesses maximize savings through lighting retrofits and utility incentive programs. We are seeking a motivated Sales Manager to grow our presence in the San Fernando Valley, promoting LADWP Energy’s rebate and incentive programs to small businesses, commercial properties and MultiFamily communities. Position Overview The Sales Manager will be responsible for generating new business opportunities by educating and engaging business owners and commercial property managers on the benefits of LADWP's Energy rebate and incentive programs. This role involves prospecting, relationship-building, and guiding clients through the process of upgrading their lighting systems to energy-efficient solutions. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a sales strategy to promote energy retrofits with a large focus on decarbonization work for businesses and multifamily property owners and managers. Identify and engage potential customers, including small businesses, non profits, office buildings, and multifamily properties . Conduct outreach through cold calling, networking, email campaigns, and in-person visits within the San Fernando region. Educate customers on available rebates, program requirements, and the financial benefits of energy efficiency upgrades. Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales quotas through proactive customer engagement and follow-ups. Assist in building and leading a sales force to help expand outreach and improve sales performance. Collaborate with internal teams to develop project proposals, coordinate installations, and ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain and track leads, sales progress, and customer interactions using CRM software. Stay informed on LADWP Energy rebate structures and industry trends to effectively advise customers. Represent Optima Energy at trade shows, networking events, and community meetings . Qualifications & Skills 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in energy efficiency, lighting, HVAC, or a related field . Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Experience with B2B sales and lead generation . Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment. Familiarity with NV Energy’s rebate programs or willingness to quickly learn. Ability to travel locally within the San Fernando Valley for client meetings and site visits. Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and email marketing platforms. Preferred Qualifications Existing network within the San Fernando Valley commercial real estate or business community . Experience working with lighting retrofit projects or utility rebate programs. Spanish-speaking ability is a plus. Base salary + commission structure (OTE potential based on performance). Remote work possible flexibility within Southern California. Paid training and ongoing professional development. Mileage reimbursement for business-related travel.
