Functieomschrijving
  • Daily Site Management : Plan, oversee, and coordinate steel construction activities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Team & Subcontractor Supervision: Manage subcontractors and in-house teams to maintain construction efficiency and quality.
  • Safety Compliance & Inspections: Enforce construction site safety regulations, conduct audits, and ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Project Progress Monitoring: Track construction milestones, address delays, and provide updates to the project manager.
  • Material & Equipment Coordination: Ensure timely availability of steel materials, tools, and heavy machinery for seamless execution.
  • Quality Control & Compliance: Verify that work meets steel fabrication standards and resolve any quality concerns.
  • Site Organization & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, structured, and safe construction site, ensuring proper site closure.
  • Problem-Solving & Issue Resolution: Identify and address on-site construction challenges to avoid project delays.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain daily construction logs, complete risk assessments, and oversee work permits.
Functie-eisen
  • At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory role on construction sites, ideally within the steel industry or a related field, with hands-on experience in leading and managing subcontractor teams.
  • Comprehensive expertise in construction workflows and steel structure work, with a particular focus on reading and interpreting plans and executing construction guidelines.
  • Skilled in performing site measurements and efficiently relaying this information to the project manager.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage multiple teams and coordinate various disciplines on-site.
  • Strong command of safety protocols (e.g., VCA) and hands-on experience ensuring safety compliance on construction sites.
  • Outstanding at organizing and planning, ensuring smooth project flow and adherence to timelines.
  • A solution-oriented mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach to tackling issues.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to collaborate effectively with varied teams and external stakeholders.
  • Languages: Fluent in English (both verbal and written); proficiency in Dutch and French is a plus. Able to communicate seamlessly with subcontractors.
