This opportunity is ideal for a proven hospice or home health sales professional who thrives on relationship-building, community engagement, and helping patients and families access quality end-of-life care. Position Overview The Hospice Sales Executive will be responsible for developing and maintaining referral relationships throughout the East Mesa market. This individual will serve as a trusted resource to physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, case managers, discharge planners, social workers, and other healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will possess strong local market knowledge, a proven record of sales success, and the ability to generate referrals through relationship-driven business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities Business Development & Referral Growth Develop and maintain referral relationships with physicians, hospitals, discharge planners, case managers, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and healthcare providers. Identify and cultivate new referral sources throughout the East Mesa territory. Execute strategic territory plans to drive census growth and increase market share. Maintain regular face-to-face contact with referral partners and community stakeholders. Relationship Management Serve as a trusted resource regarding hospice services, eligibility, and patient care options. Build long-term partnerships through responsiveness, professionalism, and follow-through. Strengthen existing referral relationships while developing new business opportunities. Represent the organization positively within the healthcare community. Community Outreach Participate in networking events, educational programs, and community outreach initiatives. Increase awareness of hospice services throughout the local healthcare market. Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to support smooth patient transitions and admissions. Sales Performance Maintain a consistent pipeline of referral opportunities. Meet and exceed census and revenue growth goals. Track activity and referral trends to support strategic business planning. Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to leadership. Qualifications Required Hospice or Home Health Sales experience required. Minimum two years of healthcare sales, business development, marketing, liaison, or referral development experience. Proven track record of developing and maintaining referral relationships. Strong local market knowledge within the Mesa and East Valley healthcare community. Demonstrated job stability and history of successful performance. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current automobile insurance. Preferred Hospice, palliative care, home health care experience in the Mesa area. Bachelor's degree preferred. Clinical background is a plus but not required. Established relationships with local referral sources and healthcare providers. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a motivated, compassionate sales professional who understands the hospice industry and has a passion for helping patients and families navigate important healthcare decisions. This individual is comfortable working independently in the field, enjoys building strong professional relationships, and consistently delivers results through service-oriented business development.
