Description The Senior Business Analyst will analyze and document technical specifications and data mappings from business requirements, providing accurate direction to application developers. The role leverages analytical skills and knowledge of application tools to drive the development of services and analytical solutions that meet business needs. The analyst owns requirements development, rationalization and prioritization in partnership with business partners, and works closely with IT architecture and development teams to ensure product development meets design criteria and deployment timelines. The analyst also contributes to business training efforts and presents information to executive and operational leadership in written and verbal form.
Principal Responsibilities
Interface with executive and operational management to determine integration solution requirements.
Define and document reporting metrics and how they are calculated from source system data, analyze source data systems for content, write technical definition specifications, report layout/mockups and test scripts.
Collaborate with and guide development resources to rapidly develop integration assets, ensuring consistency and adherence to enterprise standards.
Identify and analyze performance trends, including drivers of performance and forecast impact on future results, and recommend improvements to business processes when applicable.
Provide research, audit and analysis of complex data needs.
Maintain a strong understanding of business processes and integrated transactional systems.
Sustain a credible rapport with key stakeholders.
Execute other projects pertaining to management reporting, performance tracking, and business process improvement as assigned.
Document production issues, resolutions, and root cause.
Required Experience and Qualifications
Degree in business, statistics, or information systems or equivalent work experience.
3+ years experience in a business or technical analysis role.
3+ years SQL and data extraction skills – ability to extract and manipulate data from common database systems (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
Superior analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Experience with Agile style project management techniques.
Ability to work independently or in a group setting.
Strong business writing and presentation development skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to provide constructive feedback to management.
Ability to clearly present written and verbal information to executive management.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to probe underlying business needs.
Preferred Experience and Skills
Bachelor’s degree.
Experience with business intelligence, analytics and integrations development environments.
Experience in workflow modeling, data modeling, process engineering.
Understanding of integration process, tools, and technologies (ESB, SOA, ETL).
Experience leading a data store migration effort from various systems into a single cloud data warehouse.
Cloud data warehousing experience (Snowflake, S3) is a nice to have.
Extensive experience working with the business side to develop requirements and generate smooth data transfer.

Business Challenge The role focuses on working with the HR team to migrate all HR data into a new cloud data warehouse (Snowflake). This includes requirements gathering for core HR systems (such as Workday) and other time‑tracking systems, ensuring data integration and alignment within Snowflake for HR analytics, a top priority for the next year.
Work Environment The position requires occasional visits to the Northsight office in Scottsdale; 100% remote is NOT an option. The role offers flexible remote days but must be local to Phoenix.
