Trane Technologies is seeking a Strategic Sales Executive in our Energy Services business to identify and qualify new business and develop strategic customer relationships with public and private sector clients seeking value‑based solutions. Responsibilities Develop and manage a process for discovering client business needs and aligning solutions, evaluating projects, and confirming structured finance solutions with clients. Work directly with client executives to develop financial pro‑forma and business cases, converting leads into opportunities by assigning the appropriate sales process, identifying project team members, and communicating next steps. Understand macro market and finance trends, inform current offerings, monitor and engage clients to create creative financial solutions, and work with regional sales and leadership teams to develop strategies. Maintain market‑oriented external relationships, advance Trane’s thought‑leadership in focus markets, and identify and close large deals or sales opportunities. Maintain a visible sales/project funnel, support pipeline growth through structured finance approaches, and collaborate with cross‑functional internal teams to develop system‑related solutions for customers. Travel to customer job sites as required; work may include outdoor activities, exposure to variable weather, mechanical equipment, and heights. Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree or 4–8 years of executive selling experience. 5+ years of executive sales experience, preferably within MUSH (municipal, utility, healthcare, and education) markets with a track record of exceeding sales targets. Experience in long, complex, multi‑tiered sales cycles in public and/or private sectors. Ability to engage multiple stakeholders, influencers, and key decision makers. Expertise in the financial, legal, and technical aspects of deal structuring. Outstanding communication skills to educate clients about design‑build and energy services offerings. Valid driver’s license in the state of employment. Compensation Annual base salary range: $106,200.00 – $248,200.00. Salary type: Salary. Incentive eligible: No. Commission eligible: Yes.
