You'll ideally have:
* Degree, HND or HNC in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Design Engineering or a related discipline.
* Experience using SolidWorks or another 3D CAD package such as Creo, Inventor, Siemens NX or Solid Edge.
* Experience designing products for manufacture within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
* Understanding of sheet metal, fabricated components, plastic mouldings or mechanical assemblies.
* Knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T and manufacturing processes.
* Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) or product development projects.
* Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Knowledge of electrical design or electromechanical products would be advantageous but is not essential.
What's on Offer
* Competitive salary.
* Company pension.
* Ongoing technical training and professional development.
* Opportunity to work on innovative product development projects.
* Supportive engineering environment.
* Exposure to the full product development lifecycle.
Why Apply?
This is an opportunity to join a forward-thinking engineering business where innovation, technical excellence and continuous improvement are central to the way products are developed.
You'll work on a diverse range of projects, gain exposure to every stage of the design process and play a key role in bringing new engineering solutions to market.
If you're a Mechanical Design Engineer looking to develop your technical skills while working on exciting product development projects, we'd like to hear from you.
