Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of manufacturing engineers responsible for production of components and subassemblies, building a flexible, top-talent organization that maintains standard work, repeatability, and operational excellence.
- Own manufacturing engineering deliverables across the lifecycle, including process creation, acceptance and test plans, tooling and equipment definition and commissioning, and the author of work instructions.
- Drive design and process development within Lunar IPTs and Build & Flow, supporting requirements generation, DFx, and leading design trades that balance cost, schedule, producibility, reliability, and operational needs.
- Support Operations Leadership by providing effective, data-driven decision-making on complex scenarios, using metrics and clear trade studies to enable sound choices in a high-velocity aerospace production environment.

- Flexibility to change shifts as needed and to work extended hours when required to support production schedules.
- Ability to work onsite daily in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering field, with professional certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Project Management Professional (PMP). Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience directly leading engineers and/or technical teams through new product development into a production environment, with demonstrated leadership and relationship-building skills that drive performance and results across cross-functional teams.
- Proven technical breadth across multiple hardware domains, including system assembly, bonding/adhesive and fastener application, machining and composite fabrication, and integration of electrical and mechanical components, spanning multiple product lifecycle stages (New Product Introduction (NPI), rate production, and product transition) for spacecraft, launch vehicles, or high-performance aircraft.
- Hands-on experience in aerospace assembly, integration, and troubleshooting, with a strong foundation in fabrication processes (machining, welding, composites, mechanical/electrical assembly) and demonstrated expertise in designing, building, and commissioning tooling and fixtures for manufacturing, assembly, and test.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design and manufacturing fundamentals, including GD&T, DFM/DFA, tolerance stack-ups, and manufacturing process development. Familiarity with aerospace quality and safety standards such as AS9100 and ISO 9001. Experience with manufacturing automation, digital work instructions, and advanced metrology (CMM, laser scanning).
- Experience working within Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), including supporting requirements generation and establishing/maintaining Interface Control Models (ICMs). Proficiency with PLM/MRP systems (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill), BOM management, and product structure reconciliation. Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, Visio, Jira, and Confluence.
