Responsibilities Support plant objectives by creating videos, articles, and materials – validating information through interaction with employees and the Communications Team. Build campaigns with creative writing, videography, and photography to engage the Volvo Family and elevate the brand. Collaborate with Communications, business, and plant personnel to inspire positive Volvo culture for better business results. Create and optimize engaging content by assisting, developing, and producing media content. Utilize Microsoft bundles: InDesign, production software, and basic knowledge of systems including PCs, photography, video, and printing of signs and banners. Qualifications Minimum education: pursuing a business, marketing, or communication degree at an accredited school with at least 30 semester hours completed prior to the start of the internship. Minimum GPA of 2.75. Fall interns may work up to 30 hours per week. Intern or Co‑Op positions must upload an unofficial transcript when submitting an application. Excellent communication skills, including writing, proofreading, and speaking. Proficiency in photography, videography, and video production for in‑house and social media. Ability to tailor communication style based on platform and audience. Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments. High interpersonal skills with professionalism and independence. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of professional Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube accounts, including advertising opportunities. Basic knowledge of Photoshop and/or Canva preferred. Benefits Hourly rate: $17.00 – $46.00, based on geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area.
