** This position is On-Site in Frederick, MD! **
Essential Job Duties:
Collaborate with key stakeholders in various departments to translate complex business activities into robust data models that power downstream business intelligence tools, reporting, and analytics. Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity. Script well-performing queries in SQL and conduct UAT on database objects for use in downstream analytics. Perform research on the root cause of data anomalies uncovered through the normal course of analysis and provide solutions. Stay up to date with the latest features, updates, and industry trends related to all current ThompsonGas data systems to propose enhancements and improve data warehousing capabilities. Resolve tickets about data or performance issues related to Business Intelligence deliverables and systems. Participate in multiple enterprise-wide projects by providing data expertise to project leaders. Create clear and comprehensive internal documentation for data processes, methodologies, and systems, ensuring that technical information is accessible and understandable for all relevant stakeholders. Provide support and training to team members to enhance their ability to utilize data in reporting. Collaborate with IT department in maintenance on SQL Server, Azure Synapse, SAP Datasphere, and all other ThompsonGas data management software. Assist in maintenance and monitoring of data security within ThompsonGas data warehousing ecosystem. Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 4+ years of comparable industry experience. A solid understanding of Relational Databases, Data Warehousing, and ETL concepts required. Advanced SQL development experience required. Python development experience preferred. Experience with Azure Synapse preferred. Experience in SAP Datasphere is a plus. Ability to assess and learn new data processing and management software. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. An understanding of the Propane industry is a plus! PERKS WITH US!
