Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Sheriff's Office in Wauchula, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform visible armed presence, and support security-related operations with professionalism and integrity. This is a driving post, requiring regular vehicle use as you conduct routine patrols, respond to site needs, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. - Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken according to site guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations, remaining prepared to respond to security-related concerns.
- Monitor for unusual activity, access issues, and/or policy violations, and help to deter unauthorized or disruptive behavior through visible presence and professional interaction.
- Communicate with site personnel, visitors, law enforcement partners, and/or emergency responders regarding incidents, requests for assistance, and changing conditions at the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- An armed guard card and/or license is required.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
