Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed, driving patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this dynamic role, you will support a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable, agile approach while responding to routine site needs and helping create a welcoming experience for guests and staff.
Position Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $26.50 / Hour
Job Schedule:
DayTimeFri02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSat02:00 PM - 10:00 PMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and communicating with local management and/or law enforcement when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, high-traffic areas, and/or restricted spaces to help to deter theft, disorderly conduct, and other policy violations common to a retail location.
- Support emergency situations such as medical events, disturbances, evacuations, and/or alarm responses by following post orders and assisting with crowd control and access management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or have 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
