Key Details Position: QTS / ECT Science Teacher Location: Wolverhampton Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Long-term supply Pay: £175 – £250 per day (dependent on experience) Key Stages: KS3 & KS4
The Role A secondary school in Wolverhampton is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a long-term supply basis. This role will involve teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics that encourage curiosity, investigation, and academic achievement. You will play a key role in helping students develop their scientific knowledge, practical skills, and confidence as they progress towards their GCSE qualifications. Working within a supportive Science department, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, monitoring and assessing student progress, and creating a positive learning environment where all pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential. You will maintain high expectations for behaviour, participation, and attainment while contributing to the wider success of the department.
The Candidate The successful candidate will: Hold QTS or be an ECT Have experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 Be confident delivering lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills Be committed to raising standards and supporting student achievement Have a genuine passion for Science and inspiring young people to succeed
