Develop and direct Salesforce activities in selling system installations, planned service agreements, controls and mechanical retrofits, O&M, labor, and materials to the local Controls and Mechanical service market. Develop and deliver the branch secured sales and margin plan for all Lines of Business in the assigned geography. Responsible for hiring, coaching, and developing sales people consistent with Sales Management Disciplines. Control selling expenses and manage resources to improve profit position. Establish and maintain long‑term relationships with strategically important customers. Set the standard for professionalism within the sales team, building a high‑performance team that grows market share through customer satisfaction and quality. Represent Johnson Controls as a local leader for customers, employees, and within the community. Actualize account management strategies, sales planning, pipeline management, salesperson development/training, and sales activity consistent with JCI Sales Management Disciplines. Maintain an understanding of the business environment, legislative, purchasing, and market trends. How You Will Do It Lead account assignments to the Systems sales team to ensure secured sales performance to plan. Responsible for top‑line revenue growth and meeting margin and EBIT objectives. Meet plan objectives regarding trade working capital (TWC). Provide accurate and timely sales forecasting and allocation of sales support resources. Practice performance management by setting clear goals, investing time in employee development, and mentoring. Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and central HR initiatives. Increase market penetration in local Systems business by securing new customers and expanding the existing base. Develop and maintain account plans with key and target accounts. Support training and resources to develop salespersons capable of selling bundled offerings. Develop strategies for local sales team consistent with Building Efficiency mission and objectives. Evaluate local performance in customer happiness and lead proactive resolution of issues. Participate as a management team representative on strategically meaningful key accounts. Own the sales staffing plan and recruit, hire, and retain systems sales and support staff. Ensure compliance with state, local, federal legal requirements and operate the office with high business ethics. What We Look For Required: Eight to ten years of multifaceted sales and/or operational experience in building systems. Three years of experience in a lead or supervisory role with responsibility for the efficiency or development of others. Degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent experience. Proven track record of communicating at all levels, both technical and non‑technical. Preferred: Experience in controlling selling expenses and improving profit positions. Strong understanding of local market competition, purchasing, and business trends. Compensation HIRING SALARY RANGE: $120,000–$185,000. Salary determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, internal equity, and market data.
