Responsibilities: Managing individual contracts to ensure the delivery of high quality ecological consultancy services Providing specialist ecological advice across a variety of projects Planning, conducting and overseeing site ecological surveys and fieldwork Preparing and supervising the implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs) Conducting Appropriate Assessments, Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs), Biodiversity Chapters for Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs) and other environmental reports Writing detailed technical reports and other project deliverables Ensuring quality control with a strong focus on accuracy, timelines, and continuous improvement of the Ecology teams output Acting as expert witness during Oral Hearings Building and maintaining strong client relationships and participating in meetings with clients and design teams as needed Skills / Qualifications Degree in ecology or related discipline At least seven years of post-graduate experience in environmental consultancy Member of CIEEM, CIWEM or comparable professional body Experienced in participating in oral hearing process and serving as an xyswxtq expert witness Comprehensive knowledge of Irish wildlife and conservation legislation Strong technical report writing skills Proven experience in preparing and overseeing the implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs) Experienced in collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams Excellent communication, organisational and project management skills Holds a full, clean drivers licence Skills: ecologist ecology senior ecologist Benefits: Pension Bonus
