- Dublin A leading Irish main contractor is currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on major construction projects in Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven QS to join a well-established contractor delivering high-profile projects across a range of sectors including commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments.
Key Responsibilities Manage project costs and commercial performance from pre-construction through to final account.
Work closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered within budget and programme.
Prepare subcontract packages and place subcontract orders in line with procurement schedules.
Manage subcontractor valuations, payments, and variations.
Submit external valuations and manage project cash flow effectively.
Prepare accurate CVRs and forecasting reports.
Identify commercial risks and provide early warnings where necessary.
Negotiate and agree final accounts with both clients and subcontractors.
Support and mentor junior commercial team members.
Assist with value engineering and buildability reviews.
Ensure compliance with contract conditions including JCT/NEC forms of contract.
Requirements Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
8+ years' experience within the construction industry.
Proven experience working with a main contractor in a senior commercial role.
Strong knowledge of contract administration and cost control.
Experience working on concrete frame, steel frame, or large-scale building projects.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
Strong IT skills including Excel, Word, and Microsoft Project. xyswxtq
