Overview An Aerospace Embedded Software Engineer position is available at Belcan in Mesa, AZ. This is a full-time, direct role with full benefits including eligibility for overtime pay. The selected candidate will have an ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE and experience in software activities (development or verification) and hold an Engineering or Computer Science degree. This role supports Belcan's vision to be the most trusted partner in delivering software solutions that foster innovation with lasting impact. Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $165,000.00/yr Job location Mesa, AZ (and similar roles in St. Louis, MO and Tukwila, WA) Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain applications using C++ or Ada Execute software development activities according to the software development plan Develop embedded software solutions based on software requirements Develop and execute unit testing to verify proper implementation of low-level requirements Develop and execute software integration test cases to verify software high-level requirements Generate software documentation according to standards Perform required software configuration management activities Required qualifications ACTIVE U.S. Secret level clearance 4+ years of professional experience in software development using C, C++, C#, Python, Ada, and/or Java Experience developing embedded real-time software Experience with Agile software development Must have aerospace experience Knowledge of version control systems like Git Excellent debugging and testing skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively with other software teams and stakeholders Preferred qualifications 10+ years of C++ or Ada Experience working in hybrid or remote development environments Experience developing and maintaining Windows Services Proficient in SQL Server and writing complex SQL queries Benefits and compensation We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position offers a salary range of $100,000 to $165,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
