Provides technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products. Assists the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer applications/solutions. May build a mini‑application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client. May provide software development and consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation. Responsibilities
Customer Support – Provide and lead product penetration and adoption support, customer demonstrations, and head‑to‑head (H2H) activities at customer facilities. Investigate semiconductor manufacturing yield issues and provide inspection solutions; create and share product value statements and use‑cases with engineering, marketing and sales groups; train customers and other applications engineers. Project Development – Partner with worldwide applications teams, engineering, sales and marketing within KLA and with customer engineers outside of KLA. Manage new product introductions, characterization, beta testing and early evaluation tools. Travel to support products at customer sites, requiring more than 30% U.S. travel. Technical Documentation – Generate best known method documents, training materials and transfer knowledge to KLA’s worldwide Applications team and customers. Work with customers to develop solutions, publish papers at industry symposiums or in technical journals. Characterize next‑generation semiconductor wafer inspection products, craft test plans, collect data, perform analysis, and publish results and recommendations in application notes and best known methods. Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or related field (preferred) or Master’s degree with 0 years of related work experience. Equivalent to Bachelor’s degree with 2 years related experience. Experience: Hands‑on experience in semiconductor or related fields; background in IC processing or semiconductor equipment is a plus. Skills: Strong troubleshooting, methodical approach, clear communication, organization, follow‑up, and teamwork. Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision. Excellent analytical, leadership and interpersonal skills. Travel: Willingness to travel >30% within the United States. Pay and Location
Base Pay Range: $78,200.00 – $132,900.00 annually (Primary Location: Phoenix, AZ, USA). Actual pay depends on factors such as state minimum wage rates, location, job‑related skills, experience, and education level. Benefits
