Our associates celebrate lives. We celebrate our associates. Pre‑Arrangement Advisors are responsible for generating sales through company-provided leads from multiple channels. Our primary focus is in‑person meetings with families and preplanning seminars. Remote selling is available with company-provided telecommunication platforms. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Convert company-provided leads into sales. Maintain a network of customers from company-provided leads. Build and maintain a network of sources to identify new sales leads. Communicate with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs and suggest products and services to meet those needs. Demonstrate the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs. Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolve any post‑sale issues. Use SalesForce or applicable CRM system daily. Attend daily, weekly, and monthly calls, training, call blocks, and floor time in the office or home. Report daily, weekly, and monthly sales and appointments to the Sales Manager. Comply with industry compliance throughout the entire sales process. Perform other responsibilities as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Certification/License: Appropriate Funeral Director License in specific states only. First 30 days of employment: complete PAA Curriculum Certification at Dignity University. Experience: 2–5 years of business-to-consumer, inside homes/remote sales experience (preferred but not required). Experience: 1–2 years of industry experience (preferred but not required). Experience: 3–5 years in transferable experience. Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Exceptional level of professionalism. Strong telephone, interpersonal and communication skills. High level of compassion and integrity. Strong “one call/visit close” ability. Ability to multitask, set priorities and manage appointments. Experience with in‑home and/or seminar-based sales preferred. Proficient computer skills required; experience working on a tablet preferred. Independent, self-reliant and self-motivated. Excellent customer service skills. Clear written and verbal communication. Problem‑resolution skills. Time management and organizational skills.
Computer skills: Entry level Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Reliable transportation. Own a cellphone. WORK CONDITIONS
Work environment: Indoor and outdoor during all seasons and weather conditions, limited local or multi‑location travel to customers’ homes and local businesses. Business casual attire required when in contact with customers. Work postures: Frequent, continuous periods of standing; continuous sitting for many hours per day; may require climbing stairs to access buildings frequently. Physical demands: Manual dexterity required for paperwork, calculators, computers, iPads, and phone usage. Move, push and pull up to 25 lbs.; travel by car to appointments. Work hours: Varying work hours depending on customer needs; local travel with distance varying by market. JOB LOCATION
