Job Description This is a supplemental contract to begin during the 2024-2025 school year and extend through the 2025-2026 school year. This is an online course development position to build one new full credit online ASL course in a learning management system with the support of a development team and under the leadership of the Director of Applied Technology.

Expectations / Deliverables
Manage time to be able to provide 5-8 hours (approx.) per week.
Meet all project benchmarks and deadlines.
Locate or create age-appropriate content that aligns with academic learning standards.
Design age-appropriate activities that are competency-based, engaging and provide opportunities for connection and personalization.
Build a detailed course outline using a template that aligns with the applicable learning standards.
Utilize Quality Matters-aligned best practices throughout the course development process (including but not limited to ADA, DEI, and SEL).
Locate/confirm that all content aligns with fair use and copyright guidelines.
Attend and engage in professional development and Build Team sessions; apply learning to the course development process.
Attend Team meetings to collect and provide feedback.
Collaborate with the Build Team.
Communicate effectively and in a timely manner.
Required of Content Experts
Ohio teaching license in content area.
Knowledge of ODE’s learning standards for the course to be developed.
Access to up-to-date laptop or desktop with reliable internet.
Preferred of Content Experts
Experience in teaching the course or comparable course in the last 5 years.
Experience teaching online.
Experience with using Agilix Buzz LMS.
