Built on a century of innovation and excellence, they are committed to maintaining their industry leadership through operational excellence and strategic growth.
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Plant Manager to direct a 2-shift, non-union operation that manufactures capital equipment. This is a pivotal role designed to cultivate high-potential leaders for advancement to a Director of Operations position. The successful candidate will oversee all facets of plant operations, driving continuous improvement, ensuring operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of excellence.
Responsibilities:- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategic operational plans to achieve and exceed production targets, quality standards, and safety objectives.
- Operational Excellence: Lead and manage a 2-shift operation with 120+ employees, ensuring optimal resource utilization and process efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion and implement Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives, driving measurable improvements in productivity, cost reduction, and waste elimination.
- Team Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
- Financial Management: Oversee the plant's P&L, develop and manage budgets, and ensure financial performance aligns with company objectives.
- Executive Communication: Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports and presentations to executive leadership, providing insights into operational performance and strategic initiatives.
- Community Engagement: Represent the company in the local community, building and maintaining positive relationships.
- Talent Development: Actively participate in the company's talent development process and be a candidate for promotion to a Director of Operations position.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in plant management or operations leadership within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of implementing and driving successful Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and P&L.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willingness to relocate.
- Demonstrated potential for advancement to a Director of Operations role.
- Advanced degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Six Sigma or Lean certification.
- Experience within the large capital equipment manufacturing industry.
