As an Outside Sales Account Manager , you have the opportunity to take initiative and to represent our company in the construction industry. Weekes Forest Products distributes high-quality brand names, and we are looking for a candidate that is an influencer, has a sincere appreciation for people, and craves a fast-paced work environment. An ideal candidate for this position has a self-confident, extroverted style that can engage, and positively impact individuals and groups. Building and fostering relationships with customers is of the highest importance.
Responsibilities
Service and grow sales for an assigned group of customers through in person sales calls and total account management.
Making connections with people, motivating, and inspiring them to achieve mutually beneficial results.
The work involves driving toward results by enrolling the commitment and buy-in of internal and external customers.
Develop and maintain product knowledge through training and ongoing learning.
Strong self-direction, and an interest in achieving results with and through people.
A sincere appreciation for people and how each individual is uniquely motivated.
Able to understand customer’s individual needs and goals is essential; build long-term relationships.
Able to initiate projects and processes beyond established practices when directed.
Identify and maintain customer opportunities, develop strategies for closing those opportunities and following them through to a conclusion.
This position has variety of tasks and is dynamic and changing.

Requirements
3 years’ experience in sales and/or marketing with an emphasis on territory management
1-2 years working in the building materials industry or a similar industry preferred
High School Diploma
Clean driving record for the past 5 years
Efficient time management and organizational skills.
Able to handle multiple projects occurring simultaneously with a sense of urgency for goal achievement.
