Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Counter Sales Associate located in Opelika, AL. The Counter Sales Associate will assist customers with their purchases, provide product knowledge, and process sales transactions.
Responsibilities include maintaining organized and well-stocked inventory displays, coordinating customer orders, supporting sales and promotional activities, and ensuring a high standard of customer service. Additionally, providing guidance on product use and offering training support when necessary is an essential aspect of the role.
Qualifications
Strong communication and active listening skills to address customer needs effectively
Proficiency in customer service and the ability to foster positive customer relationships
Sales expertise, including engaging customers and recommending appropriate products
Experience in training others and basic sales management is preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
Basic computer skills to process transactions and manage inventory systems
Familiarity with irrigation, landscaping, or related products is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications are advantageous
